WILLIAM KING MUSEUM OF ART

NEVER THE SAME MUSEUM

WKMA
William King Museum of Art

William King Museum of Art is a dynamic gallery and gathering space in the vibrant arts and cultural community of Abingdon, Va. Exhibits range from contemporary art made right here in Appalachia to fine art from all around the world.

WKMA is also home to the Betsy K. White Cultural Heritage Research Archive. This collection includes some of the most detailed records in existence of our region’s rich decorative arts legacy! Our two cultural heritage galleries reflect this research and celebrate this tradition.
Effective Monday, June 23rd, we will close East Academy Drive and open West Academy Drive from Russell Road to Main Street. Russell Road will be the only entry point to the museum. Traffic can exit either on West Academy Drive to Main Street or return along West Academy Drive to Russell Road. Parking will be available on the west and east sides, and at the front of the building.
2025 BEST Art Gallery/Museum
WKMA is proud to be the Town of Abingdon's Best Art Gallery/Museum!
